OUR REVIEW OF CROSSING THE LINE:
This latest offering for Megan Hart is something you can read in one sitting; it'll hook you in within the first pages and you won't want to put it down until you've reached the end. AKA, it was soooooo goooooooood!

Here's what you need to know:

**the steam generated from these two characters will fog up the glass on your Kindle/Nook/ipad..but really is that a surprise? This woman can write some hot scenes..and the anticipation she creates....wowzer. I admit wishing I had a fan. It was that ridiculously hot. Not to be read in the presence of others, as I was, having to find a way to not be affected. It was so steamy, I think even my phone was blushing. No. Okay, so, I wasn't all that embarrassed, but I can say that it was too hot to put down, and ended much too soon.

**Caite, our protagonist, is wonderfully strong..commanding, even. I wish this weren't so remarkable in this day and age, but it is, and I love Megan Hart for persistently giving us these strong women; women who don't question or doubt or dislike who they are. It's not that Caite is without flaws, but it's how she accepts herself and others that I deeply appreciate. She dominated this story, and her very own outcome. I was in awe of Caite, and did not expect that in the least when it came to how this story would play out. Shel and I have talked a lot about how Megan Hart has an infallible ability to give us what we want, but didn't expect. Caite is that character.

**Jamison, our male lead, is also interesting. He's strong in so many facets of his life and yet when it comes to Caite, he's more conflicted, hesitant. To read some of the parts where he struggles with decisions and surprises himself with his actions/reactions is refreshing; it's nice to see a man be more than one thing in a novel--he's hard and soft...demanding and giving. They're a great duo, and first, I love his name. He commands his board room, and for once, is hard pressed to find the energy to command everything else. I loved this story for that, as we have said earlier, and how he is able to let go of the things that *control* him and experience new things for a change.

**I love what she did with Elise--again, it shouldn't be something I even have to praise because having gays and lesbians in books shouldn't be a thing, it should just be. And I love that Elise ...just is, as it should be. I loved her character too. And it was yet another spin from the usual *when present, a gay person must be this flamboyant best friend*. NO. That is a stereotype in books that I am not a great fan of, and I felt that Megan Hart took this in a beautiful direction. Go Megan.

Another fantastic offering by Megan Hart. She managed to give us a well rounded story in a very short number of pages..not an easy feat. I'll say it. I want more. Yep. Lol! It was so very good, and so very well written that the words flew off the pages, made a movie in my mind, and had us looking up ALL of Megan Hart's titles while leaving us wondering why we hadn't done that already...

Shelley: 4 Stars
Courtney: 5 Stars

About the Authors
Megan Hart
When she was in third grade, Megan Hart fell in love for the first time. Not with a boy (that would wait until fourth grade), but with a story. Homecoming by Ray Bradbury leaped out at her from the pages of a library book, and she tumbled head over heels. In the dark ages, before the days of photocopiers, the only way for her to keep a copy of this story was to copy it out by hand so she could read it over and over again. Something funny happened, though, as she carefully printed it on lined notebook paper.
She made "improvements."
At age twelve, reading Stephen King's The Stand for the first time one memorable summer, it occurred to her that people really did write books for a living. That's when she decided to become an author.
Megan began writing short fantasy, horror and science fiction before graduating to novel-length romances. In 1998, now a stay-home mom, Megan took up writing in earnest, attending her first writing conference and getting her first request for a full manuscript. In 2002 she saw her first book in print, and she hasn't stopped since.
She's published in almost every genre of romantic fiction, including historical, contemporary, romantic suspense, romantic comedy, futuristic, fantasy and perhaps most notably, erotic. She also writes non-erotic fantasy and science fiction, as well as continuing to occasionally dabble in horror.
Megan's goal is to continue writing spicy, thrilling love stories with a twist. Her dream is to have a movie made of every one of her novels, starring herself as the heroine and Keanu Reeves as the hero. Megan lives in the deep, dark woods with her husband and two monsters…er…children.
