Lord have mercy The Architect is H-O-T, HOT, hot! It's not that the hotness was unexpected because HELLO! it's Nikki Sloane but I don't think I was prepared. Lol. In the previous two novels in this series the sexy times were hot but she just took it to the next level with The Architect.
As noted by the blurb, this novel features a unique relationship--two people who are admittedly relationship-phobic but down for a sexual relationship with a burgeoning friendship using a surrogate for Clay when Clay is out of town. I don't think I've read anything quite like it and honestly, if I'd known that this is what was going down in the novel I would've been intrigued but skeptical and yet this threesome totally worked. While it's obviously an erotic novel, the story wasn't just sex--the connections and relationships formed between Clay, Travis, and Lilith and the conundrums they found themselves in kept the pages flying and had my full attention. I enjoyed how Sloane handled all aspects of this unconventional romance--from the set up, the "scenes", and the way they identified their relationship in public--it was something I didn't expect and really enjoyed.
If you are a Nikki Sloane fan, I know you're going to enjoy this new novel; it's hotter than hell and heartmeltingly sweet.
