REVIEW: Want You by Jen Frederick

OUR REVIEW:

It's been too long since I've read a Jen Frederick novel, y'all, so when I had the opportunity to read Want You I jumped on it without even reading the blurb. That's not something I do very often, btw, but Jen Frederick always delivers so I knew I could go in blind and have a very pleasurable reading experience. Guess what?! I did. I had no idea what this novel was about and it really worked in my favor. Why? Well, to be honest, I don't think I've actually read something of this trope before (at least that I can remember) and I think not knowing helped me have an open mind, because normally I'd be a smidge weirded out, I think? But, in the case of Leka and Bitsy, I really enjoyed reading about their evolution from guardian/ward to friends to lovers. I also enjoyed the seedy underbelly that surrounds this book--I've read a lot of characters, lately, who inhabit the world in ways that feel very familiar, so being able to be in a gangster universe with Leka and, by association Bitsy, was a reprieve from the reading space I've inhabited lately. The spacing and the span of time covered felt perfect and right and by the end, I was totally satisfied with where Leka and Bitsy ended and couldn't help but wondering *hoping* that we'd get another book or two or several out of the characters we meet in the epilogue!

A little bit of a sense of a forbidden romance? Yep. Sweet and swoony romance? Yesssss. HEA? Of course. Hopeful that there's more of these characters to come? ABSOLUTELY. Grab this one and prepare yourself for a novel that you won't put down until you finish it.

Summary:

 Bitsy

I might be only nineteen, but I know what I want. It’s Leka Moore. I don’t care that he took me in when he was barely more than a kid himself. I don’t care that he raised me. I don’t care everyone thinks being with him is wrong. I know we belong together, and the only person I need to convince is him.

Leka

I found her in the corner of a dark alley. If I hadn’t taken her with me, she would’ve died that night—or maybe worse. Before I knew it, she became the light in my dark life, the haven from the madness. I watched her grow up. I tried to teach her right from wrong. Now that she’s an adult, I’m feeling things that no good man should ever feel. But then…I’ve never been a good man. I have a chance at redemption by saving her from the greatest danger of all—me.

REVIEW: Unwritten by Jen Frederick

Source: author

Our Review

Court: We've been long time fans of this series, so it was a no brainer that we jump at the chance to finally know more about Adam Rees. I mean, what's not to like...he's a musician, he's a fantastic friend to the other Woodlands' boys, and he from all descriptions is fit and beautiful...and did I mention he's a musician. Adam is one of the quieter ones though, in the house...so I didn't really know for sure what we would get from his book. I am happy to tell you that all the things we love about a Jen Frederick novel are here. Shel: Yes! I wasn't expecting this book so it was a happy surprise when we saw it was coming; it'd been a while since we'd visited the Woodlands world and to have Adam reintroduce us to it was really nice.

Court: Landry Olsen is a bit of a wild card surprise though. She's quiet, she's wicked smart, and she's just fine working her magic with computers instead of the social scene that is FMK's life (FMK...hilarious! Seriously, best band name ever!!) Her story is a little tragic, even when she doesn't want it to be and that is how she ends up on the bus for the bands 5 month tour. She's hot for Adam, Adam's hot for her...Davis, her brother, is not so thrilled about the idea of anyone in the band hitting on his sister --- SO, slow burn and torture ensues for them and for us. I love books about rock bands more than almost any other (was meant to be a roadie, for sure) and this one I just could not put down. Shel: I loved this whole dynamic--the off-limits sister, the lust that turns into friends who secretly lust after each other to secret lovers--it made it a fun read! Add in the close quarters and their longing desire for each other and as Court says, it was a slow (but fun) burn. I also really loved that Frederick made Adam really smart and not douchey and Landry is so ...Landry. She's smart and shy and yet not (her confidence in certain areas was welcome), and she likes what she likes and I don't know, she just worked; the Adam + Landry thing worked well together and were fun to read.

Court: If you're asking yourself the burning question...why should you read this? Well... here's why. The voices of the characters are authentic, the plot and pace are perfect for this book, and the writing is amazing. The characters are funny, honest, and the rest of the band members are fun to get to know. There is intrigue...will they or won't they drama...and a few other things that made my heart race that I can't tell you! Hhhmmm. Oh! We get to see a few characters from the other books, which I enjoyed. I just can't tell you enough to get out there and get this book right now. It may technically be the 5th in a series, but as companion novels go it stands on it's own very well. Grab it. Look at that cover...you won't regret it! Shel--aaaaand Court left me not much to say; damn you, Court. For me, it's all the things that Court said and then the fact that I love Jen Frederick books. I like her writing style and the chemistry and heat that she writes for her characters and she always delivers a good story.

After years of trying to hit it big with his band, Adam Rees’ dream is finally about to come true. A new lead singer brings with him a hot tour invite, but with a catch—his sister has to come with them. Despite an off-limits edict, Adam is instantly attracted the smart and beautiful Landry. But if he wants to claim his woman, it might be at the expense of all his ambitions.

Landry Olsen has had success at every stage of her life, except when it comes to men. She’s put her heart on the shelf, but one look at Adam and she’s a goner. The hot rocker heats her from the inside out, and she wants him as much as he wants her. The only thing standing in their way of their happiness is Landry's brother—she ruined his musical hopes before, and she won't do it again. Even if it means saying no to the one guy who makes her believe in love again.

There’s no fruit more tempting than the forbidden kind…

REVIEW: Downed by Jen Frederick

Y'all are you even kidding me right now?

Author: Jen Frederick
Subject Involves: Football
Setting: Southern U.S.
Characters: Asshole-ish Quarterback & Stubborn Southern Woman

Shel: ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?!?! One click the ever-loving hell out of this RIGHT THE EFF NOW. Court: I KNOW! Having not been caught up on this series, I am assuming that the most recent (and 2nd book) of this series has out friend Ace being an ace-hole..he he. So, if you're caught up..you already knew that, but luckily each one can be read as a stand alone!

Shel: We love Jen Frederick (and want to kick ourselves for being so behind in this series--something we're rectifying asafp) and we love her characters aaaaaannnnd we love football so reviewing this was an absolute no-brainer. Seriously. I think when Court and I saw Downed on our Kindles we both had a FAN-GIRL DOWN moment. Court: She's right. That cover, tho...whew!

Shel: Alright, alriiiight enough obnoxious love, let's get down to it, shall we? Within the first few pages of Downed I was asking myself: What are *these* shenanigans?! What's going on here?! I was curious and giggly and wondering who/what/how about Bryant --kinda like Ace was (except I don't think he was giggling). And, unpopular opinion time (maybe), as the novel progressed I found myself warming up and liking Ace more and more and really feeling a bit mixed about Bryant. Let me start with Ace--he was always honest about who he was and who he wasn't and as he had those lightbulb moments, he shared them with Bryant. I also liked how he protected her and respected her and accepted her and never tried to alter who she was. Even at his most dickish, and he could definitely be a dick, I liked him. Bryant, on the other hand, felt more manipulative to me. Sure I understood her motives and it's not like she was truly deceptive (maybe evasive is more accurate), it was more of her lies to herself that made some of her choices questionable and made it harder for me to warm up to parts of her. Though, parts of Bryant were in my wheelhouse: all of the southernisms were so spot on (says the girl from south Louisiana), having a hard time saying no, and the easy relationship she had with her dad and the more complicated one she had with her mom were all things that I easily identified with. I also loved how hard working she was and how well she read everyone (except herself). Needless to say these characters kept me in engaged and curious and smiling the entire read. Court: I don't think you have an unpopular opinion at all! I think that is the heart of why I told you before you started it that I felt this one was somewhat taking the trope of the football star/coach's daughter and flipping it on its head. I thought that with the way it began, and the way she was just so "right" in everything...not that she was necessarily mean about it...but we could tell that there was definitely going to be more to that so we kept our finger on it. And there was. I enjoyed that Jen makes these amazingly strong heroines, that still have a lot of self discovery to do. They're so on, on, on all of the time in their desperation to be perfect...and she was like that with her family history that you'll find out about. Ace. I really enjoyed him. I liked how he was, and definitely how he was when he realized that he could just not get this girl to leave him alone. She definitely blew in like a hurricane and changed a lot of things up inside him, but the core and important parts stayed all him.

Shel: I'd feel like a failure if I didn't mention how much I loved all of the locker room scenes, the hilarious scene with the van and Ace and their "plan" (her dad's reaction was the absolute best!), and the attention to detail (especially when it came to football) that made an already amazing read that much more fun. I suppose you don't have to enjoy football to love this book but it sure does help; truly, though, the heart of this novel is so much more than about field goals and touch downs and if that's not your scene but you love Jen Frederick, you'll find that you love Downed. Court: YES, Yes, Yes! There was humor and heart on every page of this book. I loved it, and Shelley so kindly stated all the reasons why! Love her for that. I think even if you don't like football, Bryant's love for it might just make you look at it a little bit differently. We all have our "thing" and I loved that Bryant's was baking and making people feel wanted and loved. I wish that I had a little bit more of that in my personality (I do bake a lot! So there's that.) I recommend you read this immediately!

And his growing feelings for Sam Anderson are wreaking havoc with his heart…and his mind. He believes relationships get ruined when a Marine goes on deployment. Excerpt #Undeclared
Dear Grace,

My biggest fear, huh? I don’t think I ever told you about my recruitment experience, did I? So the AF reps show up at high school on career day. Bo had skipped and gone somewhere to drink the day away. Lucky bastard. I would’ve cut class that day, too, but I had too many skips and was warned that if I had any more, they would withhold my diploma and make me go to summer school. That wasn’t going to happen.

Anyway, I end up talking with the Army and Marine recruiters. Their spiels are pretty similar. They ask me about my interests, and I tell them getting the hell out of Nowheresville is my priority. The Marine recruiter nods and says he felt the same way. He tells me I can earn money, get my college paid for, and make a lot of friends. The first one sounds interesting, the second intriguing, the third I could care less about. Turns out the last one is actually the biggest benefit of joining.

Later, the recruiter follows up with me.  Gives me a huge laundry list of awesome things about joining. I tell him he doesn’t have to sell me anymore, that I’m ready to sign. Only I’m debating between the Marines and the Army. Then I make my biggest mistake ever. I admit that I’m not a fan of water. The Marine recruiter laughs and says, “You’ll be infantry, son,” and I sign.

When I get to boot camp they tell me the Marines are a branch of the Navy. The Navy, Grace. The Marine recruiter must have noted that I had an aversion to water, because every punishment I ever received was water-related.

The moral of this story is that I can’t go around telling people my greatest fear, because someone will use it against me. It ain’t water anymore.

~Noah

__

Dear Grace,

I think what you feel on my letters is dust. I’m bummed that it is on my letters to you. They say it’s sand, but it’s finer than that. It’s like the particles that make up the sand, and it is everywhere. When you get home on leave and wash for the first time, you have to stand under the water for at least twenty minutes, all the while watching the black dust collect and pool at your feet, creating coffee-colored water that swirls down the drain.

I don’t think you can ever fully erase the dust from your belongings. It sticks with you no matter how long you let the water wash over you or how many times you wipe it away. Like the tension I have in being weaponless and exposed back home, the dust is one of the many things I’ll carry with me when I’m out.

I’m sorry that it is invading your space now through my letters. It’s like I’m spreading a contaminant. Am I Patient Zero, or are you?

I probably shouldn’t have volunteered for a third tour, but combat pay is hard to turn down. After three years here, though, I feel like I am a loosely contained conglomerate of those particles of dust.

Yours,

Noah

Excerpt: #Unspoken

“I heard you drove over to the TKE house and played ‘If You Love Me’ on a loop from your convertible until the sorority girl came out, with her white dress billowing behind her. Maybe there was a glass slipper left on the stairs. I can’t remember.”

Bo was laughing at this. “First, I don’t have a convertible and wow, I sound like a total douche bag. How is this rumor helping my reputation?”

“It’s not a douche bag move.” I took a sip of my coffee. “It’s totally a Lloyd Dobbler, Say Anything move. John Hughes could have scripted that.”

“John Hughes?”

“You know, the moviemaker from the eighties.”

“You weren’t born in the eighties.”

“They’re still teen movies!”

“If I say you’re hot when you’re angry, will you hit me?”

I motioned that I would throw the cup of coffee in his face, which only made Bo laugh more.

“Okay, okay. Sorry. Tell me why this is appealing, because it sounds kind of pathetic to me.”

“I can’t believe you haven’t seen Say Anything.” I shook my head in disbelief.

“I’m pretty sure I was too busy killing people in Call of Duty to watch that movie.”

“In Say Anything, Lloyd Dobbler stands outside his love’s window and holds up a boombox that’s playing their song. In the rain. It’s very romantic.” I held up my arms to mimic the gesture.

He looked at me skeptically.

“It’s a sign of his true love,” I argued.

“I think true love is signified by more than some dippy guy standing outside in the rain playing music for a girl.”

“What’s an act of true love, then?”

“Throwing your body on a grenade so your buddies don’t become pieces of shrapnelized flesh.”

“My God, did you do that in the war?” I was shocked. I’d seen Bo without his shirt on and didn’t recall seeing any marks. Maybe I’d been blind? I shuddered at the thought of him being hurt.

“No,” he sighed, “but I know a guy in a different unit that did.”

“Okay, but that’s not something you could do for a girl here.” I frowned.

“True love means that you’d be willing to sacrifice all for another person.” That was pretty profound. Bo believed that?

“So maybe Lloyd was sacrificing his ego for Dianne in the movie,” I countered.

“Possibly. Still seems like a passive, weak-ass move.” Bo rubbed a finger across his chin and relaxed back in his chair.

“What should he have done?”

“To express his love?”

“Yes!” I exclaimed, leaning toward him. My hands were planted on my legs and I felt poised to jump him, either in frustration or desire.

“Actions speak louder than words. Or singing, as the case may be.”

“He was out there, in the rain.”

“But he wasn’t doing anything. You show a woman you love her by what you do for her, from opening her door to making sure that bumps in the road of life are smoothed out. That she wants and worries for nothing. That when you think about sex, it’s her face in your fantasies, her body you’re touching, her lips you’re kissing. That every day you remind her that she’s the first thought in your mind when you wake up and the last thought before you drop off to sleep.”

Excerpt:  #Unraveled

“I'm going to kiss you now.” His voice was deep and rough, and it matched the rest of his thoroughly masculine body.
“I know,” I whispered back. And I wanted that kiss from Gray, even though he ordinarily wouldn't be my type at all. I wanted it more than I wanted to breathe. When his mouth molded against mine, it felt like bliss—as if my whole cold body had been submerged into a warm bath. If I thought I had been engulfed before it was nothing like I felt at that moment. My entire world—my thoughts, my feelings, my senses—were full of him. I tasted the mint and hops on his tongue. I inhaled the scents of cinnamon and bergamot and ocean of his faint cologne into my airways. I felt the calloused palm on my waist and then lower against the exposed skin of my thigh. His dense muscles were drawn tight under his skin and the fabric of his t-shirt and he felt as strong as a citadel. The moan that had been building since he first backed me into the wall escaped. It had been so long since I’d had the touch of a man’s hand on any part of me, and I nearly wept at the pleasure of it.
Every square inch of my body felt sensitized, as if I’d been an unlit Christmas tree and I’d just been plugged in. I wanted to feel his hands all over, not just on that patch of thigh. I needed his touch in those secret places, those places I thought had calcified. I’d thought I’d been waiting for the smooth hands of an accountant but the longer, rougher fingers pushing the hem of my shorts up couldn’t belong to a man who worked in an office.
His tongue and mouth broke from mine to leave a hot, wet path from my mouth, across my jaw line, and down to my neck. My leg lifted of its own accord and he took it as a sign to hitch me up higher until both my legs either dangled off the floor or wrapped around him. I chose to wrap my legs around him and was rewarded with a thick hard column pressing into my sex. We both groaned at the contact and I could feel his sound against my neck. The reverberations sent minor shocks throughout my nervous system. Holding me up against the wall, he began thrusting against me rhythmically, every impact of his hips making me hotter and wetter than I thought I could get.
I gripped him tighter with my legs and dug my hands into his hair, using every bit of his body as leverage. He held me up with ease, as if I were a feather. One hand was under my right butt cheek and the other was exploring my left side, pulling out my T-shirt, only to find the tank underneath. Needing his mouth back, I tugged on his hair and he took the hint immediately. He fastened his lips over mine and we devoured each other, still rubbing our lower bodies against each other as the bass from the dance floor pounded the floor boards.
Whimpering, I begged in moans and small cries for more. A familiar but almost forgotten tension was winding its way from between my legs outward. All thoughts of storage rooms and hallways and strangers were lost in the swirl of bright lights bursting behind my eyelids.
“I got you, baby,” he growled against my mouth. “Just let go.” And so I did. I closed my eyes and let those long-dormant feelings wash over me, spreading from the inside of my legs to the nerve endings in my toes and fingertips and the very top of my head. And he kept grinding and grinding and grinding against me, whispering in my ear how I was the hottest thing he’d ever held, how he couldn’t wait to taste me, how he’d die if he couldn’t be inside me tonight.

UNREQUITED TEASER NEW.jpg
Shel: What can I say? Jen Frederick knows exactly how to grab my attention and keep it...which is very unfortunate when you start one of her novels late in the evening and have to be up at 5 AM for work (note to self: don't start any of her books thinking you'll put it down..because you won't). Court: HAHAHAHA!! We are a glutton for punishment for sure! She starts this one off with a bang...

Shel: As you can see from the synopsis, Unrequited is the story of Finn and Winter--Finn's reeling from the death of his father and Winter is struggling to be the sole support system for her very needy sister..so of course they fall for each other and are great for each other and want to be with each other ... if only it could be that easy, right?!!! IT'S NEVER THAT EASY. WHEN WILL I LEARN?!!!! Court: WHEN!? Never. Especially not with this lady bug. I swear, I think I have things all figured out...and then boom, out comes another brilliant thought for our characters and I forgive them their misdeeds.

Shel: Sigh.

Shel: I will never learn. Court: *Pats Shel's head*

Shel: Of course there are complications and the complications in this particular novel aren't not your run of the mill problems; they're a little more sensitive and potentially relationship ending and it's sooo frustrating because WHYYYYYYY?!!! Why. WHY?! Court: Impasse sort of problems, am I right? Sigh. OVERCOME THEM PLEASE!!! BEFORE WE DIE!

Shel: All I can say is thank god for Noah and Tucker..and a few others who offer some very thoughtful observations and provide some clarity. Had we left it up to Ivy, Winter, and Finn to come to some conclusions we might still be waiting for our HEA. Court: Noah I have found is always the profound guy except for you know, that whole sticky mess with his ownnnnn story. But...the bromances with these boys seriously helped me smile through what I knew was to come!

Shel: It's been way too long since I've read something by Jen Frederick and I hope we have more from her in our inbox more often. Her novels are so incredibly easy to read, all of these interconnected characters are easy to love and laugh with, and the angst is very manageable (even if it gets me a little anxious--sorry for those tweets Jen?). I feel like we have so much more to know about these characters and I feel certain that there are characters in this series that need to have their story told. So here's my official plea: Jen...please write us more stories in this series..I love these guys.Court: AGREEEEEED, I can't wait for anything she writes, but I have a special place in my heart for this writer and this series, and all of the things that Shelley said...and like the broken record that I am...pleaassseeee read this series. Particularly this book. Because you need to. And I said so. And don't make me repeat myself again...hahaha. Just kidding! The scenes are melt your reader hot, and you will want to get down and dirty with Winter...all the while admiring her artistic abilities! Oh, and Finn's.

CHAPTER TWO
WINTER
He didn’t give me much time. Inside the trailer, I got a glimpse of a desk piled high with papers, empty bottles of beer and pop, and a backpack with clothes spilling out of it before Finn began tearing at my clothes. He had my top off and was peeling my jeans and underwear off my legs before I took two breaths.
The motion put his face level with my crotch. “Well, fuck me. What have we got here? Bare, are you?” He stated the obvious. He ran his hand ran over the smooth skin, and I stifled a moan.
“I don’t like pubic hair.”
“No shit.” He stroked his hand between my legs. “You are no end of surprises. Are you more sensitive?”
“Yes, I think so.”
He dropped his hand between his legs.
“What are you doing?”
“I’m squeezing my balls so I don’t come in my pants.” He huffed a few times and then slid a hand up the back of my legs, stopping just below my butt. “Open up. I want to know how you taste.”
I was glad he was holding me because the minute his tongue touched my clit, my knees buckled. His hands lifted me, and my butt met the cold steel top of his desk. I felt, rather than heard, his low chuckle. “You taste fucking delicious.”
He spun around and found his chair. Then he settled between my legs and dived in.
If I’d thought he was a good kisser, it was only because I hadn’t had him do anything else to me.
He worked his tongue against my clit and pussy like he was discovering the secrets of the world with each pass of his tongue along my flesh. Each touch was strong yet tender.
“Oh, Finn.” I clutched at his hair, grabbing fists of it in each hand. The feelings he was generating were so intense, I didn’t know if I should push him away or pull him closer.
He pushed my thighs apart, wider than I realized they could go, exposing every inch of me to him. I didn’t feel embarrassed, not with the happy noises he was making, not with the avid way he ate at me.
I was out of my mind with pleasure. When his fingers joined the party, there was no way I could stop the orgasm. Why would I want to?
He rose, and bereft of his intimate touch, I felt awkward.  He was still completely clothed, and I was buck ass naked on his desk. “We’re wrecking your desk. And I feel weird. You have too many clothes on.”
“Best use of this desk ever,” he said. “Besides, you aren’t going to be the only one naked.” He tore at his jeans, and I tried to lean over to help. He brushed my hands away.
“Don’t touch me. I’m this close to losing it, and I want my first time to be inside you.” He cupped my face and kissed me.
He kept undressing. He toed off his boots. His jeans fell to the floor, and he kicked them aside. His socks followed and then his T-shirt in the one-arm-behind-the-back, over-the-head move that guys master when they are three.
He stood in front of me, hard muscle covered in pale skin. His large, thick-veined cock bobbed between us, and for a second I paused to wonder if he was going to fit inside me without an aid—like a bottle of lube.
He fished a couple of condoms from inside his jeans pocket and laid them on the desk. I shut out what that meant—how he’d had them ready and more than one. It was only for one night. That was all I wanted too.
So I watched as he rolled the nearly clear material over his heavy, erect shaft. The sight of him handling his member had me squirming on the desk. He reached his free hand between my legs, testing my readiness, and then held me open for him.
“Tell me if it hurts.”
I bit my lip as the broad head opened me. Dots of sweat appeared on his forehead, as if the effort he exerted to keep from hammering inside was harder than building a house.
My head fell back as he eased out. His mouth found a sensitive place on my neck and then another on my shoulder right above the crease of my arm. He tucked his hands under my butt and drew me closer as my body opened and welcomed his.
He was large, much larger than I’d ever had, and I felt stretched to the hilt.
“You’re so goddamned tight,” he hissed through clenched teeth. He pushed forward relentlessly until he was sheathed inside my body from tip to base. “Stay still,” he ordered when I began to thrust forward gently.
The scratch of his hair against my bare skin was just one more sensation, and I was finding it hard to remain passive.
His labored breath in my ear was as much of a turn on as his hands roving over every square inch of my body. He was into me as much as I was into him. We were getting lost in each other.
Then he began to move, and the drag of his shaft along my tender tissues made the world tilt on its axis. I’d never be the same again.
He worked me longer than I’d expected. His eyes were closed, and his lower lip between his teeth as if he were concentrating on something very important.
In long, almost leisurely strokes, he pulled out to the tip and then thrust back in. Over and over until my entire focus shrank to the feel of his body moving between my legs. I grappled for leverage. His shoulders were slick with sweat. His biceps were too big for me to curl my hands around.
“More,” I gasped and dug my heels into the small of his back.
His eyes flicked open, just bare slits that in another context could have been menacing, but here were hot brands of need.
He savored me in a way I didn’t know was possible, so I let go. I lay back on the desk and placed my palms flat against the trailer wall, pushing forward to meet every slow thrust. I let him take me in a sweet seduction that turned me inside out, and when I came, I felt it in every nerve, fingertip, and toe.
When I convulsed around him, he let himself go.
“Hold on,” he said. And before I could respond, he planted one hand by my head and the other on my hip. He drove into my body with a force that had the heavy desk rattling against the floor.
I held on as he hammered into me. He shifted once, and then twice, and then his pelvic bone hit my clit just right, and I couldn’t keep my screams inside my body.
He half-laughed, half-groaned and went rigid in my arms, his hips pumping and thrusting until he’d released everything he had.
I held him as the aftermath of his orgasm shuddered down his spine and wondered if I could ever forget this night.
He’d marked me as permanently as any tattoo.

He hadn’t been bragging. He had plenty of stamina. After taking me on the desk, he stripped off the condom and grabbed a water bottle I had assumed was empty. He doused his dick and then placed a couple of handfuls of cool water between my legs. We found ourselves on the couch—him on his back with my knees around his head while I took him in my mouth. He was much better at multitasking than me.
Because he’d already come, he lasted longer too. I felt I was orgasming every five minutes while I sat on his face. While I rode cowgirl, which really worked me over. While he bent me over the back of the sofa, one hand on my neck and the other clamped around my hip, pulling me back to him every stroke.
He didn’t come again until we were in the tiny shower in the back of the trailer. There wasn’t room for one person, let alone two, and water was everywhere, but Finn said to ignore it. He was. He was too busy driving his cock inside me.
I tried to memorize it all because this was my only time with him. We dozed on the couch for a little while, and when I woke, little fingerlings of dawn were creeping into the trailer through the slatted blinds.
I took him into my mouth, slowly savoring the musk of his body, inhaling the warm sleep scent of him.
He grew hard and too long for me to take in entirely, so I added my hands, cupping the base and working him at the top until he was pulling my hair away.
“Gonna come,” he said in a gravelly, barely awake voice.
I pushed forward until he hit the back of my throat, and I didn’t stop until he was coming in long, lovely spurts into my mouth.
“I’ll return the favor when my brain falls down from the sky,” he muttered sleepily. I smiled sadly and waited until he fell asleep.
Then I gathered up my clothes and left.
It was a twenty-minute walk back to the café and then a fifteen-minute drive home, but it felt like the longest journey of my life.
