OUR REVIEW:

The Guy on the Left landed on my Kindle and I immediately devoured it; I'd been waiting to get to know Troy more and his story did not disappoint. Kate Stewart made Troy, a guy I thought might be a little douchey, into a guy I was cheering for. He was so different than I imagined him to be--had more depth and vulnerability than I could've predicted and it worked. He immediately won me over whereas Clarissa was, interestingly, both sympathetic and not. I really thought I'd vibe with her because I understood her, initially, but the more she hung on to her stubborn grudge, the more I wanted her to just give a little. When she finally did give an inch, it was such a beautiful thing...until things inevitably got all messed up. There was a lot of groveling, trust issues, anger, and forgiveness--the struggle with these two was real..and really entertaining.

In addition to the story of Troy and Clarissa, we got to fall in love with Dante and Parker and see more of Kevin, Lance, and Theo. I love all of these characters and am looking forward to seeing them all again when the third book in this series comes out.

This single parent, lovers to enemies to friends to lovers, romance has a ton of heart and a lot of laughs and will suck you in the minute you start it.

Blurb:
It started with a lie. A night of blurred lines between a teacher and a student.

I wasn’t her student, yet it was the single most defining night of my life.

I’ve never been the man she thinks I am.

Most people have no idea about the life I’ve lived or the words that ring true when it comes to me—still waters run deep.

But you’d be hard-pressed to find a coed on the TGU campus who knows otherwise…because I’ve never corrected them.

The clock is ticking down, it’s Fourth and Inches with the ball inside the one-yard line and the focus is on me, The Guy on the Left. I’ve never felt like a football god, inside I’m…just Troy.

It’s time to set the record straight.

For my son, I‘ll find the strength.

In her eyes, I’m determined to gain redemption.

I will have them both, even if I have to take my eye off the ball.

*The Guy on the Left is a stand alone novel in the Underdogs Series. This is Troy's story.
