Clash Synopsis:

Clash (verb): to conflict, disagree.

It might be fair to say that I despise Macy Carrington. She slings insults with precision, not caring about the destruction she leaves in her wake. We clash in a battle of wills every time we’re around each other, and yet… I still fantasize about being lodged deep within her body.

Clash (verb): to come together or collide. I have never encountered someone that grates me the way Cal Carson does. His pompous, arrogant demeanor. A holier-than-thou attitude. Any interaction with “Saint Cal” ends in a verbal clash of epic proportions, and yet… there’s no one I’d rather have in my bed than him.

Shel: Honesty is the best policy, right?! Okay. Right. So. Um. I didn't like Cal very much for much of this novel. He seemed a little arrogant, self-righteous..a little judgemental about Macy and I liked Macy from the first time we met her in the Matt + Mac series, so Cal being mean to her didn't sit well with me. Macy had been a good friend to Mac and I thought she deserved a little more credit. To be clear, I think we're supposed to think Cal is a little snobby about Macy so I don't think it's just me. And it definitely did not put me off the novel at all; it actually made me curious. Court: He is. But, I also think as we went on...that he is going to have to put his money where his mouth is...and eat his words. That is my prediction. That he is going to feel like crap when he finds out whatever it is that she might (i.e. probably is for sure) hiding!

Shel: Basically, to fill you in on my incoherent rambling--Cal and Macy don't really get along very well. They both like to antagonize each other and push each other's buttons and don't seem to like sharing space or Mac, for that matter. Then, they have a dare fuck...for lack of a better way to explain it...and then, it's on. Cal can't seem to stop thinking about her and Macy appears to be open to more than a one off with Cal.  Court: Oh, wow. Thank you Matt Connover for that one. But holy geez-balls...I cannot even tell you how hot I thought that scene was. Just, wow. I am fairly certain that it should not be read in public...y'all. I used to think that each book one upped for hottest scene ever, but SB you have definitely outdone yourself. Whew.

Shel: And just when you're good and sucked in to this story, it ends--it's a very quick read. Luckily the next installment comes out very soon so you won't have to wait long and since I've read it, I'll tell you that it's a good one! Court: I KNOW! It does end pretty quickly! Or it seems so quickly because the writing is so good. I enjoyed it, and thought Sawyer definitely set things up for an interesting series to come for these two. So much set up. So much hotness to come. But I think...maybe some hard times too. We'll see!

GameOn

Clash (noun): a battle, fight or skirmish. Her breathy moans mingle with the sound of our flesh coming together, clashing with the silence that surrounds us, dispelling any notions I once had about Macy Carrington. Maybe I can break down her walls if we can call a truce to this battle. He whispers filthy words in my ear, provoking feelings I never knew were possible. The burning desire in his touch clashes with everything I once believed about Cal Carson. Maybe he can be the balm I need to soothe my broken soul, if only temporarily.
