OUR REVIEW:

Shel: I AM SUCH AN IDIOT. Why did I think that I could start Soulless on the same weekend when I had a bazillion family obligations?!! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY??!!!! It was a hugely dumb move on my part because once I started, I found it nearly impossible to put it down and therefore was a jerk to anyone who needed my attention (sorry family!!). Seriously. I started it and before I knew it I was almost half way through it and I was completely sucked in. What would happen to Bear? Would Ti be safe? How the heck would they get out of the conundrum they were in?! I was so curious and the fantastic news is that I got answers to all of my questions and so much more! In Soulless, I not only got to see how Bear and Ti would end their story but I got a lot of history about Bear that I'd never anticipate having and it was a 1000% satisfactory.

Court: Gosh, it was good, wasn't it? We could tell from the first book we ever read by T.M. Frazier that she would soon become a go-to author for the two of us, and we were 1000% right. This book, like the others, is hard hitting and in your face. The plot is fast, but the characters are likeable and well written. I really rooted for them, because even though how bad they may behave...their cause meant something to them. Thia has a lot of patience...is all I can say! And she and Bear still combust when they're together. Hot + steamy, y'all...and a lot wild.

Shel: As I was finishing up this novel, I thought about the naysayers out there. I thought about all the people who are all 'that would never happen' and 'it's so unrealistic' and blah blah blah and all I could think about was how much fun this entire series would be if I could watch it as a Netflix series. Because yes, absolutely, there's an element of drama and over the top, it'd never happen, fun about this entire series and I love the escape that it offers. Would I want to be any of the characters in this novel? No. Am I reading it as I'm cheering for the good guys to win? Yes. Am I very hopeful that maybe one or two characters in from Soulless find themselves in a novel spin-off from this one? ABSOLUTELY. (Rage is so freaking fierce and someone who shall not be named here is also unforgettable.). Court: Amen. I love novels like these for that reason. Escapism, and fun. It is so outside of the realm of my reality that I like living there for just a little while. T.M. Frazier's writing is stellar, and the characters unforgettable. I like Bear and Thia, and I like the Grace and King and Rae have such a big part in their lives without overtaking the story. I just liked it a lot, altogether, and I liked their quest for vengeance and craziness.

Shel: So I neglected many of the things that I need to do this weekend but I'll figure out a way to make it work because it was completely worth it to spend time in the world of T.M. Frazier's Soulless. Sound good? Court: Very good Check out the prologue and enter the giveaway below.

PROLOGUE
I was mad at the world, at the whiskey for not being strong enough, at the drugs for not lasting long enough, at the fucking whores I banged for not getting me off when it was my fault my dick was fucking useless after a bucket of fucking blow. I went so far as to be pissed at random people on the street for laughing or smiling when I felt like I’d never be able to smile or laugh again.
How dare they?
How fucking dare they be move on with their lives like my friend hadn’t just died.
I was on the verge of losing what little sanity I had left when I rode out of Logan's Beach and set off to find a place, or places, where I could numb myself against the feelings that followed me from town to town, cheap motel to cheap motel, girl to girl, high to fucking high.
Then, this pink haired girl from the past came barreling into my life and it was like for the first time, I’d found a purpose. A real genuine purpose and not just some shit Chop spewed out as orders that I and every other member of the Beach Bastards took as bible, but a true reason to live again.
To WANT to live again.
Someone to live for.
Ti was my chance at some sort of real happiness when Lord fucking knows I had no idea what that really was before her. The only glimpses of real genuine happiness I'd ever had came courtesy of Preppy, King, and of course Grace. Like when King tattooed us for the first time and we loved them, even though they were crooked and downright fucking awful. Like when Grace made me my very first birthday cake. Like the time King Prep and I sat at the top of the water tower and thought the world was ours to take.
Because at that time, it was.
Then there was Ti and my new happiness became the first time I saw her smile. The first time I kissed her. The first time I tasted her pussy by the fire. The first time she let me inside of her, shamelessly pushing through her virginity in a frantic need to make her mine.
Because that's what she was.
That's what she would always be.
And I will kill every motherfucker who dares to try and take her from me.
Mine.

Our love is imperfect in the most perfect way. It is love done our way. Raw. Unconventional. Sexy as hell. Most importantly, it is honest to the core, or so I think. One little, white lie shouldn't do so much damage. Yet, it changes me forever.

The worst part is that Declan whispered that sweet nothing out of protection. My safety is on the forefront of his mind, especially since there are others who’d hurt me simply to get at him. I never think that he would be the one to cut me so deeply. And it all starts with that first prick—the night he saved my life.
His perilous stare deepened as his grip fastened around my waist. The maniacal thoughts passing over his eyes confirmed that I wasn’t the only one who wanted all the space between us eliminated.

I

could hardly breathe when his gaze fell to my lips. It left me speechless. It was the very way a passing glance could leave you without words. But Declan didn’t just take a glimpse. No, he unapologetically looked me over. He

loved

me, but didn’t say them in so many words. Yet, I heard them all the same. I heard them with each moan that echoed in the air. I felt them as he held me gently in his arms. Even if I didn’t feel the desire radiating off of him in a fury of passion, he bore that intensity in his gaze. The world around us melted away until there was on me and

him.

EXCERPT: Soulless by T.M. Frazier

soulless excerpt reveal.jpg

Excerpt #1
"I'll deal with you when we get back to the house," Bear snapped, his words loaded with so many different meanings I trembled with both fear and anticipation.
"You're going to deal with me?" I asked. "How are you going to deal with me?" My attitude and confidence faded with each word until the last was merely a whisper.
"Yes, DEAL with you," Bear warned, suddenly pausing to take in my appearance. Slowly, from top to bottom, like he’d only just realized I was standing there. His eyelids hung heavy over his sapphire blues as he licked my body with his eyes, drinking me in like he was thirsty.
No, not thirsty.
Hungry.
When he licked his lips I could have sworn he was about to eat me alive.  I tingled all over.  The awareness of him in such close proximity after so long washed over me.  Angry or not, my body didn’t care.  I didn’t care.  I wanted to reach out and touch his face, reassure him that he had no reason to be angry, but part of me liked that I could draw that kind of reaction from him.  He came alive when he was pissed, and something inside me loved that he became this primal possessive beast out to remind me who it was I belonged to.
Bear clenched his jaw and the muscles in his neck tensed and strained. He looked as if he were ready to either kill or fuck.  All I knew was that, one way or another, I was about to de devoured.
I pressed my thighs together, trying to manage the pulsing between my legs, but the contact only ignited it further. Bear chuckled and glanced down to where my ankles were crossed. He closed the gap between us in two short strides, taking me off guard. I stumbled backward, tripping over a lose rock in the road. he reached out and roughly grabbed my arm before I could fall, pulling me flush into his hard chest. His warm skin radiated through my thin dress. I bit my lip, suppressing a moan. My legs grew weaker and weaker as he lowered his head, inching closer and closer, until I was sure his lips were going to meet mine, when without warning he released my arm and spun away. "Get in the fucking truck, Ti," he called back to me.
I stood there, unable to move, and trying to catch my breath while he headed over to King’s truck like that moment never passed between us. When he noticed I wasn’t behind him he growled and stalked back over to me. He grabbed me by the waist, his fingers digging into my skin.  He lifted me up, my short dress bunching up over my butt cheeks and slung me over his shoulder like I was a rolled up rug.
Wack.
He slapped my ass with his open palm. Hard. The bite of the smack stung where I was sure he’d left his mark. He tossed me into the truck with a caveman grunt and slammed the door behind me.
I was confused as all hell.
I was so angry.
I was also elated.
I was in lust so hard that I was in physical pain.
I was really fucking angry.
I was head over heels in love.
Motherfucker.
