Our Review

Where to start? Hmmmm. Well, I once again INHALED a book by Alessandra Torre...that shouldn't be news; I have a hard time putting her books down. You won't want to put this one down either. I promise. Why? Because you have to know--WHO are these people and HOW did they get into this crazy ass three-way relationship (for lack of a better way to explain it). 

Indeed. We had to schedule time when we could read and tweet it together! Our instincts said that we were gonna reallllyyyyyyy like it, and they were right! Some people might like a fun fact: this novel is a stand alone. Whaaat! Right? And while I liked that, because I don't think I've actually read one in a while...I could've read at least a hundred more pages about these people! And their sexy times. Whew! 

Instead of rehashing the synopsis or making veiled references to things--I'm just going to try very hard to explain why I enjoyed this story so much. First, Madison is such a strong and interesting character. She explains clearly and logically her willingness and desire for the relationship(s) she is in. She does not sugar coat anything and has zero interest in making you like her. She is what she is and has no problem with it. I also love that Alessandra (or AT as we refer to her when we text about her books haha :D we do! acronyms are our best friend! It's like speaking in code!) has once again shown us that women can enjoy sex, seek it out, and not be considered the dregs of humanity for it. There is no slut shaming here and I LOVE Alessandra for her stance on women and sex. 

I LOVED THAT TOO! I repeat her a lot, so I apologize. But it's true. How often in romance stories today do the women call the shots...and not only does this woman pretty much control her relationships (even though the men like to think they do!) she dictates her relationships with TWO very different guys. I was in awe that they both figured out quick that if they didn't find a way to keep her on her terms then they wouldn't have her at all. Not a hollaback girl, that Maddy.

Of course it doesn't hurt that there are smokin' hot sex scenes that involve smokin' hot men. The two men involved with Madison range from intense to adorable and seem to fulfill the various needs that she has. Knowing more about them helps us know more about Madison and gives us a well rounded view of who she was/is/and could be.

It was quite the interesting dynamic. And I am dang impressed it lasted as long as it did. Have I asked again, how on earth does she come up with this stuff! I LOVE it. It was hot and sexy and sweet and original. *happy sigh* 

As with all of Alessandra's novels, there are interesting complications that keep you turning the pages to see what will happen next and how it will all turn out and this one is DEFINITELY no different. I was turning pages so fast that I finished this novel in a blink of an eye. You will too!

I had a few OMG, OMG, WTF just happened. That did NOT just happen. OMG YES IT DID! moments....I gasped outloud a few times. Got the stink eye from my dog, because he is just OVER my dramatics. I love when something isn't so angsty that I feel sucked dry but is still able to surprise the pants off me (not literally, lol) and had many, many scenes that I just didn't see coming. I couldn't predict it, and that is the best!!

I have no complaints with this book....UNLESS you factor in my desire for MORE...I always want more from Alessandra...could she just write a novel that never ends, please? Wouldn't it be awesome if a new chapter appeared on my Kindle every day? YES...yes it would! IT WOULD! LOL...uh, but I don't think she would want to do that everyday! :-/ Don't miss out on this book or this author!
