OUR REVIEW:

Shel: With Well Suited comes an end of the Red Lipstick Coalition and what an end it is. We finally have Katherine (Kate) and .....drumroll (as if you're even surprised)....Theo!! Surely you guys saw this coming, right? And surely you love it when friends fall in love with brothers which will make them connected forever, right? (Side note--my college bestie married my husband's twin, making us sisters for liiiife and it's the best!). So to recap for those who've forgotten--Theo is Tommy's brother and Tommy married Amelia (from Work in Progress) and of course, Katherine is the fourth roommate and our final victim of Staci Hart's romcom mind.

Court: Ohh, I am not going to lie, I was a bit nervous to find out what was going to happen in this one because Kate is so...Kate. well, Katherine. AND I will say that I wasn't sure about her at first for reals. BUT...Since Staci Hart never fails us I held faith and dove in!

Shel: I'm gonna be real with you guys, Kate was not always easy. She's so rigid and stubborn about her rules and her lists and her life but once you get to know her, you begin to understand why she functions the way she does and it all makes sense. It's interesting because Staci Hart gives Kate a male suitor who is almost her mirror image in many many ways but he's warmer, softer, more bendy in so many ways--and yet also rigid in ways too. I think it's the first time in a while I've read two characters who are so alike and yet so not and work so well--even if one of them is a complete skeptic about anything that cannot be explained by facts and science. I really like the role reversal created with these two characters--he's the big romantic softie and she's the harder one to break (it's actually, now that I'm thinking of it, very much like me and my husband...hmmm...excuse me as my brain processes all of this).

Court: HAHAHA! This one was speaking to you wasn't it! Yes, you can tell that Theo is the one that is going to be thawing the ice, and it is a very nice role reversal. Their getting together was not something she wanted...at all...and she was so unwavering in that - that it was clearly going to be a hard won journey to see how things went between them. And it was delightful!

Shel: I really enjoyed how patient Theo was--he really knows how to play the long game and he was so attuned and attentive to Kate that I had high hopes that he'd break through all of her rules and perceptions. And I really liked Kate's honesty and her self-awareness and her willingness to listen and open up to things that were really hard for her; I admired her confidence and her awareness about what she wanted and needed. These two worked well--from their first night together to the countdown of the end of the 40 weeks--I enjoyed their story...their entire concept and how their feelings were conceived (so punny, aren't I), grew, stumbled, and grew bigger and stronger.

Court: LOL. Yes, but it's cute. As is this book. And we really are drawn to these covers for reals. We've loved these friendships all along, but we really love these girls and how much they support each other!

Shel: And of course I loved seeing all of the members of the Red Lipstick Coalition together again. They were all as funny and sweet as always and seeing what they were up to and their lives were going was the perfect ending to this series. Court: Legit. We highly recommend this series so get it as soon as you can.

Chemistry is my love language.
I’ve always been able to separate feelings from chemosignals. A shot of dopamine, a dash of serotonin, and a sprinkle of oxytocin—and bam. You’re in love.
And when egg meets sperm, you’re pregnant.
I couldn’t even be surprised as I stared down at the little blue plus sign, because I knew exactly when and how, and with whom it happened.
When: approximately five weeks ago. Who: one night stand. How: prophylactic malfunction.
The upside? I don’t have to go looking for a suitable mate.
Genetically, he’s the cream of the crop. His musculature is a study in symmetry and strength, his height imposing and dominant. He is a man who thrives on control and command, a man who survives on intelligence and resourcefulness. A perfect male specimen.
And the whole package is wrapped up in a flawlessly tailored suit.
I’m having this baby, and he insists we’re well-suited to have it together. And what’s worse? He wants more, in the way of love and marriage.
But love isn’t real. It’s just a product of chemistry.
And if he changes my mind about that, we’re both in trouble.

About the Author
AuthorPics.jpg
Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life -- a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can't forget that. She's also been a mom, with three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She's been a wife, though she's certainly not the cleanest, or the best cook. She's also super, duper fun at a party, especially if she's been drinking whiskey.
From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north, in Denver. They are new enough that snow is still magical. When she's not writing, she's reading, sleeping, gaming, or designing graphics.
