REVIEW: Dirty Headlines by L.J. Shen

From bestselling author L.J. Shen, comes a new standalone, enemies-to-lovers romance.

Célian Laurent.
Manhattan royalty.
Notorious playboy.
Heir to a media empire.
...And my new boss.

I could have impressed him, if not for last month's unforgettable one-night stand.
I left it with more than orgasms and a pleasant memory--namely, his wallet.
Now he's staring me down like I'm the dirt under his Italian loafers, and I'm supposed to take it.
But the thing about being Judith "Jude" Humphry is I have nothing to lose.
Brooklyn girl.
Infamously quirky.
Heir to a stack of medical bills and a tattered couch.
When he looks at me from across the room, I see the glint in his eyes, and that makes us rivals.
He knows it.
So do I.
Every day in the newsroom is a battle.
Every night in his bed, war.
But it's my heart at stake, and I fear I'll be raising the white flag.

Shel: Dirty Headlines was exactly the weekend escape I was looking for. The snarky banter gave me life and the tangle of lust and hate between Jude and Celian. Their constant sniping and bickering had me cracking up and I just absolutely adored them—so much so that when the climax hit I was more miserable for them than was probably rational (and of course giddy when everything ended as it should).

Court: I was scared of it to be honest. L.J. Shen has the natural ability to squeeze my heart into submission, so I figured that this one wouldn't be that much different! LOL! The writing is so incredibly good and we could not get enough of the characters, as Shelley said. These two meet and sparks fly, and then real life gets in the way and boy...it's a wild ride.

Shel: The secondary characters were hilarious or horrible, depending—and also just a fun addition to an already fun read. Court: I'm a broken record at this point with how much I love great secondary characters..but what she said!

Shel: Truly I can’t get enough of all the things LJ Shen does and I’m glad that there are many more books of hers coming. I fall in love with her more each time, and we definitely have to read every book she writes because we cannot get enough!
