OUR REVIEW:

You know what I love? I love when I try a writer I've never read before and I end up devouring her latest work. That's what happened with the latest novel by K.K. Allen: Center of Gravity. I'd heard really great things about her novels and when the opportunity to read her latest worked with my current schedule, I knew I had to try her out.

I really enjoyed the concept--up and coming dancer, cocky choreographer, and a contract that forbids any personal interaction, what could possibly go wrong? Mwahahahahahaha. Lots. The tension between Theo and Lex was angsty but even more angsty was when they actively tried to deny or hide their relationship. It was only a matter of time before the shit was going to hit the fan and I felt like I was reading with my hands covering my eyes as I kept waiting to see when and how it would happen.

Additionally, I really loved that Allen shared her vision of what the choreography would look like via her links--it added a whole new element that I don't think I've seen since Ella Frank's Blind Obsession.

All in all, a really great angsty read--with a fresh idea and execution. If you're new to K.K. Allen like we were, I'd definitely suggestion trying Center of Gravity and then check out her backlist.

Blurb

A FLIRTY, SEXY, AND HEARTFELT FORBIDDEN SPORTS ROMANCE SET IN THE WORLD OF PROFESSIONAL DANCE. (STANDALONE)

Lex
I came to L.A. with dreams bigger than me.
To learn from the best choreographers in the business and secure a professional dance gig working for Hollywood’s elite.
Everything was going according to plan—until I was literally shoved into the arms of the one man who could make or break my career.
Come to find out, it wasn’t my career I had to worry about.
It was my heart.

Theo
Everything about Alexandra “Lex” Quinn screamed amateur, save for the way she moved across the dance floor.
She was athleticism and grace, precision and passion, and she had a stage presence I couldn’t tear my eyes from.
I wanted her...on my team, in my bed.
There was only one problem...
I couldn’t have both.
