Our Review:

Shel: I think I start off every post about Ketley Allison like this: "Poor Ketley, I've been harassing her via Twitter for days/weeks about the next installment of this series"..and it's true. At least once a week I'd go to Twitter to remind her that I desperately needed answers. She was so patient and kind and gracious and I'm forever grateful that she found us and loved us enough to humor us. Court: And here I am finalllly finishing this installment forever and a day later. But yes. That. Ketley is great. And this book is great. And I am gushy and grateful.

Shel: Enough of my gushing about Ketley, let's get down to business..the ending of the series. After the last book, I was on edge--WHO DID IT?!!! My theories ranged from logical to fantastical and everywhere in between and now that I know the answer...all I can say is...I KNEW IT. (even though I didn't). There was one scene in the very beginning of this series that always stuck with me as off and based on that, I had a tiny sliver of hope that I knew who was behind all of this..and I suppose 'hope' is the wrong word here..but there were certain characters I absolutely DID NOT want it to be. (I'm not making much sense here, am I?!). Let me just stop my weird rambling to say that I completely love how Ketley did this....even if I hate that it had to go down like it did. Court: NO. I completely agree. I am so sad and elated, and mad and in awe...and I just seriously cannot believe how everything went down, but I am so glad that a) we got allllllll of the answers to allllllll of our questions in this final part of the SNAPPED series by Ketley Allison, but b) I DIDN'T KNOW IT EITHER, but I too hoped that things would turn out the way that they did...but even different...because I am a sucker for days for certain things, and I am hanging on to those bitter feelings until the bitter end. And I'm not making sense...but you'll have to read it and THEN you can ask me what I mean.

Shel: This series is without a doubt one of my all time favorite serial reads. Ketley's writing and plotting and characterization and pacing were engrossing and had me begging for more after each installment. I cannot recommend this series highly enough and I cannot wait to see what she produces next. Please don't make us wait too long, Ketley! Court: Too true. The writing in this story is fast paced brilliance that had me hanging on to every word. There is truth to the feelings evoked, and I find that hard to do, especially in a novella serial...but I think that it came across beautifully, and the suspense was top notch. I hope that more people read this, and that Ketley goes far, and keeps writing, because she is so damn good at it! LOVE Snapped. Read it! Now. I demand it.

REVIEW: Surrender by Ketley Allison (Snapped Series #6)

“So that’s it? You just never want to see me anymore?”

I want to see you every day. “We can still call each other. I want to help you find answers, I’ll never stop with that. To absolve not only me, but you, too. But that means we have to focus on what’s important, and it’s not this.” I stumbled back when he moved closer still.

“Charlie.”

“Not this,” I repeated.

Truth cannot conquer lies. It can’t prove Charlie’s innocence. It sure as hell doesn’t prevent the police from closing in. With clues that are leading straight to her, the only thing Charlie knows for sure is that no one is without their own sins—including the man she cares about the most.

Will love turn out to be the ultimate distraction? Or will it be the one weapon to shatter perceptions and spare Charlie’s life?

There is only one novella left. This is sixth installment of Ketley Allison’s seven-part new adult romantic suspense series. Can you get to the killer before Charlie does?

Shel: god, KETLEY. Every time. EVERY FREAKIN' TIME, you kill me. We are so close to finding out what the hell happened to Reagan...and yet one full book away. GAHHHHH. Court: This installment packed a huge punch. I am still reeling.

Shel: Actually, NO. NO I do NOT need a minute. I NEED THE FINAL INSTALLMENT NOW. I'm looking at you, Ketley. Court: I, at this point, have so many more predictions than questions, but I am so desperate to finish this one! But, also not, because then what. will. we. do. then!

Shel: For those of you keeping up with this series (you're brilliant by the way), Charlie made some interesting choices in terms of how she handled being a suspect. I honestly have no idea who I'd communicate with or how I'd handle that situation, though I think it would involve lots of ice cream, alcohol, tears, and anger. I was a little surprised at her blatant disregard for Lou's advice about who she spoke with. I was also surprised at some of the revelations in this installment. And as per usual, she totally KILLED me at the end of this. Court: She killed us with the end of it, but for once...I am...at least 50% proud of Charlie. The strides she makes into being the heroine we have known her to be...the one that doesn't just let her life happen to her. And Whoa. I am still in shock, and conflict over the other decisions she made...and that others made. Just shock. Whoa. I never know what will happen in this series, and the suspense is so awesome!

Shel: I have no idea how Ketley will end this--I have a few thoughts, but rather than share them, I will hold out for the final installment of this series and hope that it all turns out okay. Court: I have my Clue predictions too: This person, did it this way (we sort of know how they did it...) and they have been laughing at me the entire time because I don't know! Hah. NO really. The writing of this series has been so wonderful. The emotions....they kill me. There are no sugar coating the emotions in this series. I hope you'll check it out.

About Ketley Allison

Ketley Allison began her creative career by writing books as birthday presents for her friends (with her friend as the main character and opposite a super sexy lead, of course) before ending it in order to walk down a path she thought she was supposed to follow.

The writing bug never left her—and, in fact, would often bleed into the official papers she was supposed to write—so now Ketley’s putting down her suit and finally following her dream. While her friends are no longer the stars of her books, she still throws in bits and pieces of them into each and every one of her characters.

As a result, her books tend to focus a lot on friendships as well as love, because let’s be honest, friends are what really get you through—especially when your epic love turns into epic heartbreak.

REVIEW: SIN BY KETLEY ALLISON

Charlie's first love is perfect. He's kindhearted, the sex is great, and he only wants her despite the spotlight that brings him fame. Her life is wonderful, filled with purpose and cushioned by the man of her dreams.

Something is wrong here. Her instincts are kicking in, telling her that Slade isn't the man she thinks he is, but her heart is at war. She loves him, despite the attraction that sparks between her and Nate, the lonely, magnetic man who has popped into her life solely to piss her off. Slade loves her, despite the bright cameras and hot women and the ongoing pressure to succeed.

Doesn't he love her?Slade's getting closer to Charlie's new friend, a girl who blushes in his presence and changes face as soon as he leaves. Reagan seems sweet and everyone tells Charlie she's adorable, cute...innocent as an angel. But Charlie's starting to see her differently. Problem is, no one believes her.

Simple jealousy, or a warning of what's to come?Someone's plotting a murder, and its execution hinges on Charlie's choice. If she turns the wrong way, ignores the right signals, and chooses the wrong man, well...

The ultimate sin will result.

OUR REVIEW
Shel: OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD. I really don't even know else to say. COURT: SHOUTY CAPS....ALL THE WAY. OH MY GOD.

Shelley: ....okay...I'll say a little bit more, but it's getting VEEEEERY challenging to write about this series and not spoil anything. So, here's what I can say: Charlie has that voice in her head that is telling her something is very off and eveyone around her is dismissing it..and I DO NOT think she should dismiss it. Court: WHY, OH WHY, ARE THESE PEOPLE SO....HEAD IN THE SAND? Okay...I know what it can be like to click with some people...and not click with other people, and no matter what...you just can't do it. THAT IS HERE. I would like to think I would be on her side of things...and that is all I should probably say.

Shel: Also? I'm insatiably curious as to what the hell is REALLY going on that Charlie doesn't know about because it seems like there are MOST DEFINITELY some things going on (and P.S.  I don't think I'm going to like these things!). Court: NOOO. ME EITHER. KETLEY...HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME.

Shel: Ketley is amping up the angst and tension and I seriously had to put the book down about a gajillion times (not just because I had to grade research papers GRRR), but because I was so freakin nervous about what I would find on each page. Court: I READ IT SO FAST. AND AM JUST GOING WITH THE CAPS NOW, SO DON'T JUDGE ME. IT FLEW BY. THE BALLS ARE DROPPING, AND WE'RE GETTING SO CLOSE TO THE CLIMAX (NO PUN INTENDED...OKAY, YES, SOME PUN INTENDED...hah!) AND I JUST...THERE ARE NO WORDS FOR HOW I FEEL RIGHT NOW...

Shel: Be ready for the ending, y'all. I ..uh... Court: JUST BE READY. EEP! YES. BECAUSE, I THINK I WASN'T. I mean...HOW has this happened to me *throws self onto the floor*

REVIEW: SHADE BY KETLEY ALLISON

Famous boyfriend, penthouse on Park Avenue, full scholarship and best friend along for the ride?

Awesome.

A smartass drummer boy, dark obsession and a hint of betrayal?

Unexpected.

Murder?

Inevitable.

Charlie Miller’s life in New York City is just getting started.

Shelley:  It's hard for me to write about Shade without being spoilerific so I'll just give you a rundown of some of my general thoughts:

THERE IS SOME FUCKERY GOING ON. <-- and that about sums it up. For real. Who do I trust? I already felt suspicious of the way 3 of the 4 characters were acting in Snapped and this book just solidified it for me. Friends not being very friendly, deception, and discomfort--these are all ways I'd describe what I was feeling as I read. Boy, if we had friends like these, why would we ever need enemies?? But yes. There is some wicked fuckery going on...and even though that is going to make me have to seriously edit the fuck out of my review just to get it to post on Amazon...that is about all I've got.

My salute to a couple of characters and their assholery behavior...

I'm eager to get to Sin to see if we begin to get answers. I have so many questions about who these characters are and what the hell they think they're doing. We're like...this happened, and this happened, and oh, can't tell you that. FECK!

And then, I'm all...don't buy that shit. Don't be a moron. *falls over dead*

Also? I want to shout at Char to freakin trust her instincts. TRUST THEM. She isn't. She's doubting herself, and that is why I think I want her to find her inner badass early! I need it!
And also? I want people to quit assuming crap and USE THEIR WORDS and not just allude to things. This is painful--in the best way because I'm totally engaged. IT IS SO HARD! Because guess what folks, in a short month, the honeymoon phase is over, and we FINALLY have some real life, bad ass, hard shit going on between these people. Adult like things, that ouch, they hurt when we have to go through growing pains like that...but the writing is spectacular for me, and I feel like we're really hitting a stride with this story and these characters and I am so engaged and enthralled with this story. I am pimping it out left and right, and YOU will be next!

Well done! Bring on Sin!
